Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026
This policy explains what information the Fairhaven Hollow game for Android and the website fairhavenhollow.com collect, and what they don't. I've tried to write it in plain language. Fairhaven Hollow is made by Momo Hollow Studio, a tiny independent studio based in the USA. When this policy says "I", "me" or "we", that's who it means.
The short version
- The current version of Fairhaven Hollow collects no personal information.
- It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it doesn't use the internet.
- Your progress is saved only on your device. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
- Optional ads and a one-time purchase are planned for later. Before they arrive, this policy will be updated to say exactly what changes. A summary of what to expect is below.
The game today
This section describes the version of Fairhaven Hollow that is available now.
- No personal information. The game doesn't ask for your name, email, age, location, contacts, photos or anything else about you, and there's no sign-in or account.
- No internet, no permissions. The game doesn't request internet access or any other Android permission. It can't send information anywhere.
- No ads, analytics or trackers. There are no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other third-party tools built into the game.
- Saves stay on your device. Your progress (things like the current day, village meters, coins and the choices you've made) is stored in a small file in the game's private storage on your device. It isn't sent to me or to anyone else, and the game is set up so Android's app-data backup doesn't copy it to the cloud.
Google Play
When the game is available on Google Play and you download it there, Google handles your Google account, the download and your Play Store activity under Google's Privacy Policy. Google Play gives developers summary statistics such as the number of installs. If you've chosen in your Android settings to share usage and diagnostics data with app developers, Google may also give me crash and performance reports (for example, the device model and Android version involved in a crash). These don't include your name or contact details. I only use them to understand how the game is doing and to fix problems.
This website
- fairhavenhollow.com uses no cookies, analytics, ad trackers, social media widgets or external fonts.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
If you email me
If you contact me, I'll receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. I use it only to reply and to help with your question. I don't add you to any mailing list, and I don't sell or share your email with anyone. Ask me any time and I'll delete our conversation.
When ads and purchases arrive (planned, not in the game yet)
I plan to add two optional things to a later version of Fairhaven Hollow. Neither one is in the game today. Before any version with them is released, I'll update this policy and the Data safety section of the Google Play listing to describe exactly what they do. Here's what to expect:
Optional rewarded ads
- Ads will only ever be optional. You'd watch one only if you choose to, for example for a small in-game bonus. There won't be forced or pop-up ads.
- The ads will most likely come from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers, your IP address and approximate location based on it, basic device information, and how you interact with ads. Google handles this information under its own policies. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the game will ask for your consent before ads use your data for personalization.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (usually Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads).
- Adding ads means the game will need internet access, and this policy will say so.
A one-time in-app purchase
- Any purchase will be processed by Google Play through Google Play Billing, under Google's terms and privacy policy.
- I never receive your card number or other payment details.
- Google tells the game and me that a purchase was made (for example an order number, the item, the date and the price) so the game can unlock what you bought and so I can handle refunds, accounting and taxes.
Children's privacy
Fairhaven Hollow is made for teens and adults (13+). It is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The current version doesn't collect personal information from anyone. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has sent me personal information (for example, by email), please contact me and I'll delete it.
Deleting your data
- Game progress: uninstalling Fairhaven Hollow deletes its save file from your device. You can also clear it without uninstalling in your Android settings (usually Settings > Apps > Fairhaven Hollow > Storage > Clear storage; the exact wording depends on your phone).
- Emails: write to me at the address in the Contact section and I'll delete our messages.
- Because the current version sends nothing to me, there is no other game data held by me to delete.
Keeping information safe
The best protection is not collecting information in the first place, so the game doesn't. For the little I do receive (like emails), I use reputable providers and keep it only as long as it's needed.
Where I'm based
I'm based in the USA, and any information I receive, such as emails, is handled in the United States. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under local privacy laws, such as the right to know what information I have about you or to ask me to delete it. You can use those rights by emailing me, whether or not your local law requires it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. For important changes, such as adding ads or purchases, I'll update this page before the new version of the game is released and mention the change in the game's release notes ("What's new") on Google Play. The current version and date will always be here at fairhavenhollow.com/privacy.
